Which filler is right for me?

It depends on your needs and cosmetic goals. Dr. Pham will help you with that decision. He may even use a combination of fillers because different fillers are suited for different purposes. All of our fillers are synthetic formulations of hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance found naturally in the body. Options include:

JUVÉDERM Collection

Products in this filler collection are formulated for specific areas of the face.

• JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS XC and VOLLURE® soften moderate to severe lines and folds around the mouth and nose, such as smile lines (nasolabial folds). The results usually last for about one year.
• JUVÉDERM ULTRA® XC and VOLBELLA® define and add volume to the lips and smooth out vertical lines on and around the mouth. Results last about a year.
• JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® adds and restores volume to the cheeks, temples, jawline, and chin for up to 2 years.

Restylane® Collection

Similar to the JUVÉDERM family of fillers, the Restylane product line offers multiple formulations for different concerns and treatment areas.

• Restylane® and Restylane-L® are for mid-to-deep injection for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, as well as injection into the lips. Results last around 9 to 12 months.
• Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine, formerly called Perlane®, is well-suited for cheeks, facial wrinkles, and the back of the hands. Results last from 6 to 12 months.
• Restylane® Silk is used to add soft volume to the lips and to smooth lines around the mouth. Results typically last 6 to 12 months.
• Restylane® Kysse was designed to provide natural-looking lip augmentation results. It has been proven to last up to 1 year.
• Restylane® Refyne is designed with XpresHAn Technology^™ to help soften nasolabial folds and marionette lines while preserving your natural facial expressions. Results last up to 1 year.
• Restylane® Defyne also uses XpresHAn Technology™ and helps smooth out deep laugh lines and enhance chin projection. Results last up to 1 year.
• Restylane® Contour is the only cheek filler with XpresHAn Technology™. It restores your natural cheek volume while preserving natural expression. Results last 9 to 12 months.

RHA Collection

RHA, which stands for Resilient Hyaluronic Acid, is the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler for dynamic wrinkles and folds around the mouth. Results last up to 15 months.

• RHA® 2 is the softest RHA filler and is well-suited for moderate dynamic wrinkles and smile and lip enhancement patients.
• RHA® 3 provides a bit more lift to deeper wrinkles around the nasolabial area, corners of the mouth, and jowls
• RHA® 4 is the firmest RHA filler, restoring volume to areas like the cheeks and smoothing deep folds and wrinkles.

Are fillers better than BOTOX® Cosmetic?

Fillers and BOTOX Cosmetic work in different ways and are used for different reasons. Fillers add and restore volume within the skin. BOTOX smooths out dynamic wrinkles caused by facial muscle contractions. While RHA fillers and BOTOX treat dynamic wrinkles, they do it differently. Dr. Pham has extensive experience using injectables and creating customized treatment plans to help patients attain their cosmetic goals. Often, he recommends a combination of fillers and BOTOX called a liquid facelift.

What are filler treatments like?

Dr. Pham performs filler treatments in the office. The injections involve little discomfort because most fillers contain a local anesthetic. No downtime is needed so patients can return to their daily activities immediately. Results are noticeable right away; however, temporary swelling and bruising may occur at injection sites.
